HIGHLY PRAISED MUSIC FESTIVAL TO ROCK RURAL SA IN 2025

Set to go ahead on March 22nd 2025, the annual rock fest Chilled Out ‘n’ Fired Up is set to light up the rural town of Caltowie for a one-day spectacle of great music and great food, all for a good cause.

This 12-hour celebration of all things rock has been strumming away at the hearts of SA since 2019. This year’s headliner is the Adelaide based band The Superjesus. Alongside them sits a great line up of up-and-coming SA bands.

Ben Van Boekel, co-organizer of the event, says, “We will try and nail down a headliner first, and then listen to hundreds of South Australian bands and try to pair them with who the headliner is going to be.”

Renee Ormesher, co-organizer of the event, says that the festival aims to “get people together” and “celebrate SA’s local bands.” “Expect to see some great live music and all types of rock genres.”

The event intends to not only support local SA bands, but also aims to raise awareness of mental health by raising and donating funding to Lifeline. Ben says, ” We could raise money and awareness to let people know that it’s okay to drop guard and have a chat about your issues to your mates.”

Aside from the events on the main stage, the festival boasts a wide selection of food trucks, as well as many licensed bars. Two large bonfires will also burn all night long (if weather permits) as well as free on-site camping for all. Ben says, ”Expect to see some amazing South Australian live acts, to be able to indulge in some of South Australia’s greatest gourmet foods, and to have a few bevvies along the way!”

The festival caters to people of all ages, so make sure to bring the whole family to support local bands and promote awareness for mental health.
