With camping numbers growing significantly, we’re making some changes for 2027 to help provide a cleaner, safer and more comfortable camping experience for everyone.

For COFU 2027, camping will be available as a ticketed add-on to your festival ticket.

Your camping ticket helps us cover the additional costs of providing camping facilities and services, including more toilets, toilet paper, security patrols and improved accessibility.

How much is the camping ticket?

$30 per vehicle (+ BF)

Do I need one camping ticket per person?

No!

A camping ticket is per vehicle, not per person.

If you are travelling and camping in one vehicle, you only need to purchase one camping ticket for that vehicle, regardless of how many people are staying in it.

For example:

• 2 people in one car = 1 camping ticket

• 4 people in one van = 1 camping ticket

• 6 people travelling together in two cars = 2 camping tickets

Everyone camping must have a valid festival ticket, and each vehicle staying in the camping area must have a camping ticket.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need a camping ticket if I’m not camping?

No. If you are attending the festival but staying elsewhere, you do not need a camping ticket.

Is the camping ticket per person?

No. Camping tickets are per vehicle.

One camping ticket covers the vehicle and the people camping with it.

What if I have a tent but arrive in a car?

You need one camping ticket for your vehicle. The ticket covers your vehicle and the occupants camping with that vehicle.

What if we have two cars?

You will need one camping ticket for each vehicle staying in the camping area.

Can I buy a camping ticket without a festival ticket?

No. Camping is only available to festival ticket holders.  Purchase your camping ticket at the time you buy your festival tickets.

Can I camp without a vehicle?

Yes. Walk-in camping is available for guests arriving without a vehicle. A camping ticket is still required.

What happens when I arrive at the camping area?

When you arrive, our camping team will check your festival and camping tickets and direct you to the appropriate camping area.

You’ll be given a camping pass to display on your vehicle window for the duration of your stay.

Can I move my vehicle once I’m set up?

Only during daylight hours.  Strictly, there is to be no vehicle movement between sunset (6pm) and sunrise.

Can I bring a caravan, camper trailer or motorhome?

Yes.  Camping includes all of the above, plus tents and swags.

Can I choose where I camp?

Yes. Campsites are not allocated.

Can we camp next to our friends?

Yes.  However, you will need to arrive together or come prepared with some poles or orange cones to mark out the spot.

Can we have extra people join our campsite?

The camping ticket covers the people travelling in that vehicle. Everyone staying on site must have a valid festival ticket.

What time can we arrive to set up camp?

The camping areas will be open for arrivals and set-up:

Friday: 2:00pm until sunset (approximately 6:00pm)
Saturday: 9:00am – 6:00pm

Please plan your travel accordingly and make sure you arrive within these times. For safety reasons, access to the camping areas will not be available outside these hours.

If you’re arriving on Friday, please allow enough time to check in, receive your camping pass and set up before sunset.

What time do we need to leave?

Departure is Sunday.  Please pack up your campsite and take all belongings and equipment with you. 

Rubbish bins will be provided in the campgrounds, so please use them and help keep the campground tidy.

Before you leave, make sure your camping area is cleaner than you found it. We want to leave Caltowie looking as good as we found it!

Will there be toilets in the camping area?

Yes!

Based on your feedback from 2026, we’ll be increasing the number of toilets available throughout the camping areas.

And yes… we’ll also be ordering significantly more toilet paper!

Will there be showers?

No.  There are no showers on-site.

Will there be drinking water available?

No.  There will be no drinking water available in the campgrounds, please bring enough water for you and your friends and family.

Is there breakfast on-site?

Yes! Breakfast will be available to purchase on site on Saturday and Sunday morning, so you can grab a coffee, something to eat and get yourself fuelled up for another day of COFU.

Will there be security in the camping area?

Yes.

Security will patrol the camping areas throughout the event.

We know the party doesn’t necessarily stop when the music does, but we also need to make sure everyone has the opportunity to get some sleep.

Security patrols are there to help keep the camping area safe and to provide a friendly reminder when it’s time to wind things down.

Can we keep playing music in the camping area all night?

No.

We ask everyone to be respectful of fellow campers and keep noise to a reasonable level after 10.30pm on the Friday night and after the festival finishes on the Saturday night.

We want everyone to have a bloody good time – but we also want everyone to wake up feeling vaguely human the next morning!

Is there an accessible camping area?

Yes.

We’ll have a designated camping area for people who require easier access to accessible toilet facilities.

Please email us here to request access to the designated camping area.

Can I bring a generator?

Yes, but generators must be quiet and operated only during the designated hours of 8am to midnight. If your generator is considered excessively noisy or disruptive to other campers, you may be asked to switch it off.

If you require a generator for medical or accessibility reasons, please contact us before the festival so we can discuss your requirements and make suitable arrangements.

Can I have a campfire?

No.  The timing of the festival although can be cool in the event, will also be within the districts fire weather warning period.

Are dogs or other pets allowed in the camping area?

Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the camping area, but must be kept on a lead and under control at all times. Other pets are not permitted. Please remember that not everyone is comfortable around dogs, so be mindful of your fellow campers.  Note, Dogs are not permitted in the festival area, with the exception of assistance animals.

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

Yes.  Please drink responsibly, this is not a booze fest, and please no glass.  Drinks and food you bring with you are to be consumed in your campsite.

What happens if I lose my camping ticket?

Don’t panic! Your camping ticket is linked to your booking. If you can’t find your ticket, log back into our ticketing partners website, Moshtix.

Can I get a refund on my camping ticket?

Yes – no worries! We understand plans can change. If you’ve purchased a camping ticket and later decide you don’t need it, contact us and we’ll arrange a refund.

What happens if I decide not to camp after buying a camping ticket?

See above.

Can I transfer my camping ticket to another vehicle?

No need! Your camping ticket is for the camping space associated with your booking, rather than a specific vehicle. If your vehicle changes, you don’t need to purchase another camping ticket.

What happens if my vehicle breaks down and I arrive in a different vehicle?

We don’t need vehicle details when you book your camping ticket, so you are all good.

Can I leave the festival and come back to the camping area?

Yes.  If you want to take time out during the festival on Saturday you can absolutely go back to the camping area to rest, recharge and go again.

We know that charging for camping is a change from previous years, and we understand that some people may have questions about it.

We’ve made this decision because we want to be able to invest properly in the camping experience as COFU continues to grow.

The camping ticket helps us provide more facilities, better services and a safer, more comfortable environment for everyone staying on site.
