Meet your 2024 line-up.

  • Beddy Rays started making music together not long after they first met on the primary school oval back in the day, and the release of weekend anthem ‘Sobercoaster’ in 2020 really started shaking things up for these fun-loving larrikins. The cracker of a tune has amassed over 4.5 million streams on Spotify and echoed throughout backyards of Australia during triple j’s Hottest 100 of 2020, cementing the four-piece as one of the country’s most loveable bands.

Their highly anticipated and fully independent debut album was released in July 2022 and achieved #1 Vinyl and #2 Australian Album on the ARIA charts, as well as the coveted ‘Spotlight Album’ on tastemaker radio station, triple j.

These days it’s almost impossible not to recognise a Beddy Rays track, as their music has become a carefully curated recipe involving all the right ingredients: heartfelt lyrics, huge hooks, mosh-worthy riffs and a lingering sense of comradery and good vibes that underpins everything they create.

  • A fizzled-out Tinder date collided with a Gumtree ad, and from the flaming ashes rose The Buoys, the sweet and savory all-female Sydney outfit making noise across Australia. Provoked by workplace feuds, slow walkers on the footpath and a tonne of bad dates, The Buoys carve out a fresh space in the indie guitar scene, traversing the bounds from uncertainty to curiosity, disappointment to determination.

Taking 2021 by storm, The Buoys sold out headline tours across Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, with their latest single, ‘Bad Habit’ hailed as ‘the musical definition of a bullseye’ by Richard Kingsmill. Scoring a spot in triple j’s Most Played for weeks on end (including cracking the top 5), as well as becoming cover girls for Spotify’s ‘Local Noise’ and ‘Rock Out’ playlists.

The band swiftly followed this up with the release of cathartic banger ‘Lie To Me Again’, becoming the most playlisted Australian act across DSPs in release week, receiving a full rotation triple j addition, and cover placement on Spotify’s ‘Indie Arrivals’.

This follows a whirlwind 2020, in which the band, despite obvious hurdles, never slowed down. Between supporting the likes of Violent Soho and Spacey Jane, a huge national tour with DZ Deathrays and a sold out East Coast headline tour of their own, the band released their Sophomore EP, ‘All This Talking Gets Us Nowhere’, with smashing success and was nominated for ‘Best Live Act’ in the 2020 FBi SMAC. Settling into their sound and cementing themselves as a force on stage, these gals continue to pave the way for fiery anthems and heart-jerking tunes alike, all wrapped up into one high energy set.

Recording their forthcoming body of work with Fletcher Matthews (Sweater Curse, CLEWS, Dear Seattle), The Buoys have embarked on a clear change of pace in their sonic outfit and savour all that comes with this exhilarating switch up: paying homage to the music you know and love, while leaving just enough room to steer their sound into unchartered waters.

  • West Thebarton are a six-headed rock hydra from Adelaide, South Australia, yet another example of the resurgence of artists from the Southern Hemisphere. Look past Lorde, Flume and stare hard at Tame Impala, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Royal Headache, The Chats, Gang of Youths and a list twenty times the length supported by great radio stations and a greater pride. There is nothing in the water, it’s all just pouring into your ears.

West Thebarton (say West Theb-arton) are an amalgam of Adelaide based, national touring bands – a super group of stature headed by The Rev, the gravel voiced soul brother who, somehow, writes super catchy choruses about suicide, unrequited love and pure fucking loathing.

The band unleashed their debut album DIFFERENT BEINGS BEING DIFFERENT in May 2018, on the back of huge radio play and national support tours, they headed up their own sold out album tour with festival appearances in Europe including Reading, Leeds and Pukklepop and debut dates in India, returning to their beloved South Australia in time to be nominated for an ARIA for best rock record and winning Best Band, People’s Choice, Best Song and Best Release at the South Australia Music Awards.

Single “George Michael” released in mid 2023 is the first taste of a larger body of work the band have been working on for the last 3 years. It kicks, it bites, and iuts champing at the bit to be unleashed.

  • Combining energetic, feel-good music with a dedicated, old school work ethic, LOLA are turning heads and starting mosh pits all over Australia.

Emerging from Adelaide’s vibrant music scene, LOLA is best mates Billy Burns (lead vocals, guitar), Sebastian Reyes-Hewett (lead guitar), Maxwell Bowen (bass) and Mitchell Seager (drums).

Described as a ‘refreshing taste of punk’, LOLA’s DIY punk attitude is not going unnoticed – performing at Groovin The Moo 2023 and sharing the stage with icons such as Descendents, Against The Current, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Dear Seattle, Cosmic Psychos and LOSER.

Taking home Best New Artist at the 2022 South Australian Music Awards further cemented LOLA as heavy weights in the scene and fortunately the outfit are showing no signs of slowing down.

Fresh from their debut European festival tour, LOLA is set to release their EP “GET RICH OR TRY DYING” on the 20th of October.

Blending an eclectic mix of artist influences, from NOFX and The Bennies to The Clash, and even Radiohead, LOLA creates music inspired by the natural environment, life experiences, shitty situations, the government, and general inebriation mixed with tomfoolery.

  • “Who in the who is Stormy-Lou!? From the coast of Kaurna Land/Adelaide rises this fresh face of Australian music. This proud queer foursome expel a refreshing style of post-punk infused indie-rock that has captured the attention of the country. Inspired by powerful voices with the likes of Bec Stevens, Julia Jacklin, Camp Cope, and The Buoys comes front-woman Mikaeli Stoker (she/they), bassist Alex Flynn Taylor (they/he), guitarist Lachlan Nesbitt (he/him), and drummer Hari Starick (they/them).

Stormy-Lou invites the audience to electric live performances packed with their unafraid style of song-writing; pairing heavy lyrics with a trail-mix of instrumentation all galvanised by the relationships and experiences of these fearsome South Australian artists. Their most recent success landed them a spot on the notorious South Australian showcase festival: SCOUTED 2023.

Their new single ‘Impulsitivity’ rounds out the year with hectic energy and an empowering story of neurodivergence and owning your mistakes!!”

  • Hey, we’re a band called Exit Plan. Formed many years ago in a tent by two brothers, we are a young, teenage band from Murray Bridge South Australia. We play weird stuff that we hope you enjoy.

  • I’m a country and blues sing songwriter playing multiple instruments.

Raised in country South Australia, traveling from town to town in my aignature denim overalls playing a mix of cover songs and originals.

I’ve been playing music since I was 13 years old as growing up with Mental health issues I needed a way to escape. I was heavily influenced by the likes of Jay Hoad, John Butler and Harry Hookey.

Mental health should never define who you are as a person but it should help guide you.

You are heard, you are seen, you are enough.

Traveling, playing and constantly meeting new people is the highlight of my music dream. Hearing from people through all walks of life is a constant reminder that playing one song could change a persons whole day.
